Rob H.
I tell you what, I'll have our baritones dedicate our next show (on Aug 8th) to you "dday"...
BDMOM
PS - Can I be a Kingsmen Rifleline Groupie? Pretty please? By all means my friend! Hope to see you in Pasadena! Renegades are having another fabulous year and I will miss you guys at DCA in September.
corps e feldman
From my post on SCV Alumni list:For all our alumni currently performing with the Anaheim Kingsmen: GREAT JOB Saturday nite, guys and gals. Mambo rocked. Artistry in Rhythm teased. FIREBIRD !!!!! A special gold star to the Rifle line: Get down with the OLD SCHOOL, ladies. Truly impressive. The snareline (100% pure kingsmen, btw) stick work brought back memories of a more visual time. They will definitely be throwing babies at DCI. (though how an exhibition corps got to go on last is beyond me. ;-)) Good luck in Pasadena. NO KIDDING, as an exhibition, why the heck did they get to go on last. An obvious "favor" to the Kingsman by DCI and the host group, Impulse! Shame on you for putting the Kingsmen on last instead of basing it on the last Kingsman score they got in competition. (sarcasm, obvious, I hope) :P Man o man...I can't wait to see those gals spin those rifles in Pasadena.
stifled4mallettechnique
I was there. It was well worth a very long drive! Cire, I think I saw your buddy at the show. He was that one guy not standing up, right? Was it by any chance DCIHasBeen? ^0^ And as to why they might be going on last in Pasadena... how would YOU like to be the first semifinal corps in competition and have to follow them? It just wouldn't be fair!

Thanks Dude, I know you didn't remember marching with me back in '79, but it was KOOL reconnecting with you ol' boy. I'm gonna have to dig up the yearbook and do some scanning. Maybe it'll jog free a few brain cells, 'cause that was a looooong time ago, my man. Again, great seeing you and thanks for the props. Your SCV Bari brotha', Kevin Yea, even when I was staring you in the face I could not connect 79 with the now. Sorry. I am definately going to dig up the old 79 yearbook and find you. Unfortunately my budget doesnt allow for DCI and DCA, so Im going to enjoy my weekend off and then focus on kicking it in Rochester. I am definately at Stanford though. I was kinda bummed there wasnt more time to hang out. but you guys had a show to perform. Have a beer for me in Pasadena. (as I type this, the office stereo starts playing "My Immortal". Karma?) PS - Listening to 74 Kingsmen, amongst others, is what got me to tryout for SCV in 76. Its ALL your fault B)
