PhillyDCIMontreal
Well you asked.... I have 3 sons. Two of my boys not 5 minutes ago started to play Halo 2. Well the music from Halo puts thoughts of Drum Corps into my head every time, why?... I couldn't tell you.

Bandguy
This comes not from a drum corps experienced person, but from a high school band director. I think, though, that any drum corps staff member, volunteer, or director can relate to this. There is a yearly ritual I have with my graduating seniors. Part of it is included a copy of the lyrics to Rod Stewart's "Forever Young". Take a look at them and I'm sure you'll get it.
DCIHasBeen
Oddly enough, there's no song that makes me think of drum corps (or at least my marching days), like Meatloaf's "Bat Out of Hell" ... You see it was the summer of '77 and it was pretty much all we listened to ...
Flyboy1177
So, I already posted in this thread, and I'm not one to usually resurrect a thread that hasn't been posted in for 2 months, but I have new information that I'm not sure fits anywhere else. I was watching the music video for Brad Paisley's song "Online." There's a reference to playing tuba in the marching band in the Rose Parade (and yes, before anyone jumps down my throat, I know the difference between marching band and drum corps). At the end of the video, the guy's mom says, "Marching music makes me hot!" b**bs and the first thought that popped into my head was "DCI: Marching Music's Major League." Has the DCI PR department been flying under the radar? --- On further reflection, my explanation doesn't do it justice. Maybe you should just watch the video, even if you're not a country fan. William Shatner also has a random role in the video as the kid's dad, so it's good for a laugh. I'm sure you know where to find the video, and I won't say here for fear of breaking the rules. That is all.
