I thought so...the sound is a little darker than other corps. I've learned to like Bb horns, but I still love that distinct sound of Gs. It seems like a very down or flatline show to me, not enough peaks. This corps has major potential though. To respond to the comment about the guard book, it is pretty safe, but it is also very clean. I think these kids could have handled harder work, but sometimes you don't know that going into the season. I don't think the guard was this clean when I saw them at NightBeat so they could have just turned it on in the last couple of weeks. Who knows?
