Eddie Posted August 21, 2007 Share Posted August 21, 2007 That sort of makes it sound like Division III is a place to escape, and only poorly run corps stay there, but given your marching experience I'm not accusing you of suggesting that...It just sort of sounds that way. Maybe so, and maybe that's something that is needed. 1. - It keeps the sponsoring organizations on focus of their 501c3 responsibilities. 2. - It allows a sponsoring organization to refocus, get back on track, regroup, etc. without sacraficing the corps entirely. But if anything else, I would focus division III more on new organizationss trying to get their feet wet. Everyone knows there are very well run corps that simply choose to stay in Division III. You're right, there are some very well organized corps in division III. In this model, however, they would simply become a division II corps.
