Why not educate them on the differences between the two?

I'm pretty sure that is exactly what I was advocating. :)

Why not open up DCI to marching bands and get it over with?

I'm definitely not advocating that.

It's actually a slam. A screensaver pops up after you've been away from you computer. People rarely sit at their desk for long periods at a time to just gaze and enjoy the screensaver.

Sounds like the person was never there.

I think in context it might actually be a compliment. I must say though, at first I thought it was saying that it was a screensaver for in between "real" programing.

You've got to get their attention first before you can educate them.

Marching band is a phrase or concept that they can at least relate to. Use it as a jumping off point.

I've always liked saying this: "It's like marching band, only loud and bad ###.

If for some reason they said screensaver, I don't think I would ever leave my computer if drum corps shows all the sudden popped on. B)

I'm convinced that some of you hang around the computer all day, re-loading DCP over and over again in search of something, ANYTHING, to complain about.

Is that a complaint?
