Gary Matczak
Could you imagine a parade with all those Dunkirk shows then add some more seniors like Gypsy Brass, Hamburg Kingsmen, and Getzville Suburban Knights. Now add some juniors like St. Johnsburg Blue Sabres featuring SLEDGE, the Imperial Regiment, Royal Coachmen, Buffalo Mavericks, Erie Mavericks, Red Raiders, Red Berets, Lake Shore-ettes, Rhythmettes, Queensmen. Now that's a peerade! and the Jamestown Vikings, Erie Keynotes, North East Shoreliners, Tonawanda Renegades,...................got any more names? We could add....Lockport Blazers/Renegades, Frontiersmen, and how about Albion Grenadiers since it's not that far away.

Commander71
Don’t forget Canada ah! Wait,,, maybe that was just "The Ballet" These were the shows we loved to go to...I can recall being in Commanders and turning down other offers because Dunkirk or Getzville ran a far better party! Imagine, choosing a show date according to who had the best party! No better way to spend a weekend than in Western NY with Hamburg, Erie, Guelph, Marching Ambassadors, and even the dreaded Pittsburgh Rockets! Throw in Patriots and Getzville and the Kingston Grenadiers and you had a fabulous, entertaining evening of drum corps in all its possible permutations. The Koch's beer tent in Dunkirk was always the place to be...and the singing...I can still do all the verses to "Alouette". And will do so with little encouragement...
