SF2K4
Everyone's going to harp on practicing, don't be nervous, and all the good stuff. I just want to chime in something I don't see said much: Never apologize during an audition. Be it marching or playing, never say you're sorry for making a mistake because you're not sorry for trying, are you? Shake it off, show them you can react and have pride in what you do. euponitone
just wondering what i should expect when auditioning Well...if your auditioning for the three groups in your sig, im not sure what to tell you, as i am not familiar with those camps. I would say, keep in mind that the entire weekend may be an audition, to keep your guard up at all times. Your attitude and work ethic can be evaluated while you think nobody's looking, but if you really want to be there, those things shouldnt be a problem. Einstein On The Beach
Make sure that when you play, your sound is like a super heated laser, and you want to burn that laser right through the brass caption head's brain. Also, take a listen to some bulldozing sites, for this is what you want to achieve in your tone quality.
