He mentioned band in a drum corps thread! *gasp*) there were a number of bands that performed Mackey's works. I believe this is the first year a group has done so in BOA, and there turned out to be many of them. Mackey was a pretty popular pick this year - Marian Catholic, Richland, Clear Brook, etc. If anybody can come across a video/recording of these bands, I'd highly suggest it, if anything, for a bit of a preview of how some of these pieces may translate to the field. Marian - Turbine, Turning, Annuals Clear Brook - Turbine and Turning Richland - Turbine (the best of all the Turbine renditions, IMO) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No offence to the corps itself because I thought they were great. I just couldn't get into the whole "Tarot" concept. Kind of controversial in my opinion and personally, it gave me creaps every time I saw it. Again don't missunderstand me. I love(d) the corps, but I just didn't like the show. Just my opinion.
