Brass - need 1 mello and 4 sops Percussion - need one killer snare and 2 cymbals Guard - need 4-6 more spinners. Front Ensemble - need 4 mallets and one tymp ( and one tech) It's nice to be able to just post openings! Bring dot book, spf 30 and water jug ! Thanks for the Support ! The Sun Devils have overcome many obstacles seen and unforseen, yet we go on. I'm sure anyone out there who has been with a startup corps can testify to that. It give us a boost to hear good things about our effort. When I say "our effort" , I don't just speak for myself and the others associated with corps who appear on DCP from time to time. I speak for the other members who come from all over the state, put in long hours and do the little things to make this work. Some members are high school kids who always dream about drum corps when they see DCI videos or on TV. They thought they could never be in drum corps because it cost too much, too much travel and time etc. Some of those kids may end up in DCI. Other members just want another shot at competetive drum corps or are in-between years in DCI. Instructional staff is all volunteer at this point. What a fanatastic contribution! DCA give those people the opportunity to do that. Drum corps is a good experience that I think we all would like to share with others. Encourage others to push a little more. Do the things that you thought were not possible. I think we all believe drum corps is an experience we take with us for the rest of our lives. It's all-age all-good right? As a brand new staff member, I had the pleasure of sitting in the middle of the horn arc last Saturday as the line ran through the ballad. The tone was so warm and inviting, the musicality and dynamic control filled me with such a rush of emotion and inspiration. Guard - need 4 more spinners. (Color Guard coming along very nicely) Front Ensemble - need 4 mallets and one tymp player (and one front ensemble tech) Bring dot book, spf 30 and water jug ! May 10 (Sat only) May 17 -18 May 24 - 25 (mandatory camp all members, all weekend) We have almost passed DCA evaluation but need to do 1 or 2 more things and we should be good to go. Current count is about 45 but if we fill these holes we can get to the 65 max with one drum major. We have started drill this past weekend.
