St Johns Drum & Bugle Corps goes DCA!!

That’s right, rumour has turned into truth. A once thriving Junior Corps in South Western Ontario, Canada has now become the St Johns Drum & Bugle Corps organization.

The St. Johns Drum & Bugle Corps organization will now house several tiers of members. Below are the associated sectors of our organization.

With Dan Lazaros as the Director for the Cadet/DCI programs and Matt Dean as the Director for the DCA program.

St. Johns Cadets

St. Johns DCI

St. Johns DCA

St. Johns Winter Drumline

St. Johns Winter Guard

We are proud and excited to provide an organization with such flexibility and diversity.

Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for your family, to participate in the variable options Drum Corps has to offer.

Anyone interested can direct questions/comments to info@stjohnsdrumcorps.com

While it was only announced June 10th that it intends to field a Corps in the 2009 season, there is much work to be done. Preparations are underway to represent both the DCI and DCA Corps on the field next summer.

With that said, I would like to present an open invitation to all who wish to apply for staff and support positions.

Please submit your resumes to info@stjohnsdrumcorps.com for review.

We expect to be fully staffed by late July/early August to prepare for the winter program.

If you are unable to fulfill the above positions, but have the time to support our organization, we would love to have as many support volunteers as possible.

Our thanks to those for your interest and support!!

While it was only announced June 10th that it intends to field a Corps in the 2009 season, there is much work to be done. Spots are filling up quickly, as the several alumni in the region are coming out of the woodwork and showing their support.

Brass: 2 Instructors

Percussion: 3 Instructors (2 drums, 1 pit)

As well as:

Please submit your resumes to stjohns.dca@gmail.com for review.

I wonder how many Grenadiers West will jump ship and go to St. Johns? Interesting!

There is plenty of talent that because of age, time or money can't do the junior thing. There's no reason Ontario can't sustain 2 DCA corps as well as more DCI corps than the current 3. I don't think Grennies should be impacted. In fact, the nearby competition will probably be good for them - get some interest going in the province.
