Yeah, and the intro (which is actually the pre-show) also has the ring announcer introducing the fighters which, like Crown's race call last year, adds to the mood and theme of the show. blueorginal Posted June 25, 2008 Share Posted June 25, 2008 downloaded it from Fan Network, First observation is you never realize how much a part the crowds play in listening to a drum corps show until you listen to a "Studio" recording :):):) For a early season recording its very good, and horn line sounds like its ready for the long summer. Some great parts in the music and percussion also I think there will be some major rewrites in the music as the summer goes around so will be nice to reference this when end of summer recordings are done. The show feels great too me and definetly a departure from Bluecoats "comfort" zone I hope they get more emotion in the horns as it progresses, BUT BEST OF ALL I GOT TO HEAR THE SHOW :):) can't wait for the Madison webcast Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Towards the end of the show I felt like I was listening to a movie soundtrack. Low brass sounds amazing! Hope they don't cut the horn runs this year like they did last year. Good thing you weren't actually listening to the movie soundtrack, cuz then Bluecoats would be cheating or you bought the wrong track. Buddy Holly, last years leads were pitiful, especially that ginger that marched, you know, the guy on all the Bluecoats Uni logos, that big ginger was awful. Thank god they are better this year.
