phantom 04 has quite a few demanding and exposed trumpet licks that are pretty lengthy. that whole trumpet book is difficult and very underrated imo.

i heard that the bluecoat trumpets had a good Basketball squad too. Some big white guys who could throw down.

Yeah, the cadets had it goin in 05. But i cant agree that PR had the most amazing pit parts in 06. I know they won the percussion title and their drumline was very clean, but there were several other corps with more demanding pit parts having more people playing more runs and such. Not to take anything away from their season. Just my opinion.

I think I remember seeing them live at Crown's home show last season. It is amazing to watch.

I like it, but not deserving of all that hype.

im tired of playing ii-V changes too. Jazz is getting old too i guess. Just trying to lighten the mood.

good point, if my ears dont fail me it does seem that JD does tends to just put the original parts into a drum corps instrumentation. Not that thats terrible or wrong, PR seems to be doing fine with it. But I have a hard time giving him more credit than Bocook or a majority of others.

somebody might have mentioned this one in a different thread. but crown 06 finals, somebody misses their count by about 4 beats on the long peal-off file and ends up sprinting into a full corps hold about 4 counts late.

I must agree with voting Phantom. In my opinion, they spent a little too much time on being emotional and maybe sacrificed some good sounds. And I probably just made a few enemies.

correct. the whole album is outstanding. not a bad song on it. it was recorded in japan i believe.
