Matt_S
I'm hoping that this thread gives me a good idea of what APD's to get... though I'll probably end up getting them all, so maybe I should say it'll let me know which shows to listen to first. troon8
Bluecoats, by far. Strong honorable mention to the Blue Stars. The only reason the Cavies didn't make my list here is because there was so much happening so fast, especially with the guard. But it was entertaining stuff, for sure! Elmo Blatch
I found entertainment in most shows that I viewed on the webcast. West coast fans, don't be upset as I haven't got to see your corps yet. In no particular order: Crown--I really dig the fresh coat of paint Klesch did with drum corps war horses. Shows like this are great for newcomers. Where will it finish? Who knows. It's a nice production. Boston--The last two minutes of this show is my favorite music/visual ending to a program this year. Fantastic. Bluecoats--As somebody else on here already indicated, if you don't like the brass shout chorus at the end of The Boxer, you don't like brass or drum corps. That section of the show might be the best brass moment of the year. Cavies--This program is teeming with different timbres of sound. While it doesn't sound Eastern to me, it still sounds wonderful. Granny Smith
Cavaliers Troopers Crown Bluecoats Not necessarily in that order. My impression, judging from crowd response is that this how I THINK the crowd would have voted as well. Just a hunch. Maybe the Bluestars would have been in there as well, but this was almost a home show for them.
