OICMR corps Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 People seem to be forgetting the whole "standings" thing...we know they aren't accurate representations of the actual rankings. Just for fun. dciguy01 has done this all season, why complain today? No one seems to mind until their corps is lower than they were yesterday. Nothing is getting Real interesting, The only thing that is keeping me watching is that the shows are great. the competition end of DCI has turned to BS. We know. Duh. And that doesn't change the fact that Friday's Allentown scores are the most interesting thing in drum corps right now. According to the current standings, 9-12 and 17-19 are competing head-to-head. (remember yocco's.... ) boston/blue stars was an interesting score development in atlanta; same with bk/glassmen recently. the most fascinating thing about the race for 12th is the history involved, with so many of the corps trying to get back into finals as opposed to just trying to stay where they've been. it's been a while since xmen have made it, madison is still on that cusp, and uhh...its been like 30 years for the blue stars! crazy. its pretty unbelievable (though unlikely) that all or none of those corps could make finals. Your point is made every few weeks or so by a different person each time as if they just discovered the theory of relativity or something. We get that, it's just for fun. Nobody's complaing about dciguy01 doing these "standings." I think it's awesome (and one of the most convenient way to check for scores).
