84skyrydr
Someone read this. Now there is a vintage Cavie corps jacket. 99.00 starting. I have a feeling it will go for a lot more than that. No it is not mine.
Kansan
Florida Wave patch went for 35.00. A 1983 quarterfinal patch went for 35.00. Get your stuff on there. Now seems to be the time. I don't have any memorabilia that I want to part with, but I did sell my Ryder jacket a year ago for 350.00. I also saw a Blue Devil championship ring get sold for around 1000.00. Why did you sell your jacket? I have 2 in the closet but just can't part with them. Am I sitting on $700.00 dollars worth of memoribilia? Kansan
I found my plume from 85, and my gauntlets and gloves from 87 which were brand new before the last show. I left some stuff on the field that year as I had a feeling I wouldn't make it back for 88.

Am I sitting on $700.00 dollars worth of memoribilia? You might be sitting on even more. When I had my Sky jacket in my marching years I was a teenager who weighed around 170 and wore a medium. I grew up, the corps disappeared and I now would only fit into a extra large jacket( which is no longer available ). So instead of having it sit in the basement storage for no apparant reason other than to look at every once in a great while, I sold it to someone who collects these treasures. I do miss it, but have never worn it since 85. So maybe if yours is sixe XL I might be the buyer.
Puppet
ooooooooooooooohhh, shouldn't you have turned that in And, yeah - I think we know a guy who didn't turn his in, too! And he can still fit into it! Puppet
stoods59
Let's face it, not everyone treasures their past. Some people may actually just need the money. I'm with the keepers-I would never part with my Guardsmen jacket, patches or medallion from Finals. Too many great memories there from a long time ago. 84skyrydr
Memories are in the mind, not in a peice of fabric that only comes out once a decade for ten minutes of nostalgia.

I'll be losing 15 pounds so I can reenlist with the National Guard and capture my last bonus.

Drumss
I also kept all my corps "stuff" (except for uniforms, I never got any of those)... I have a variety of patches, and jackets from all the corps I marched with years ago: Valley Grenadiers Hawthorne Muchachos Hawthorne Caballeros Bridgemen I have no contention with anyone who sells their corps memoribilia however...some folks could use the cash, or just don't retain that much sentimental value...
