AzEuph
I know I'll get lynched for this but, Phantom's show was too cheesy for me. I've stated my opinion before Finals week that as the season went on the less I began to like the show. With that said, comparing 2008 champions to past I'd say: 2002 Cavies - An amazing execution job that has never been matched. All execution, no emotion however. 2005 Cadets - This show also had amazing execution but a little more emotion to it. 2006 Cavies - Members executed the show well and bought into the character 2000 Cadets 2000 Cavies 2004 Cavies - Read 2006 Cavies 2008 Phantom - I think if this show was performed by Colts/BK/BAC/BD/Cavies that nobody would have cared this much about it! But the show was all emotion top to bottom. 2001 Cavies 2007 BD 2003 BD Just my opinion if these corps were to go head to head against one another. (Although members from 2000 Cavies/Cadets might need an ambulance after their performance! )
k1001001
I agree with one poster in thinking that this was one of the weaker years of drum corps.
Stick Stack
Here's how I would see it... 1st-2002 Cavaliers 2nd-2005 Cadets 3rd-2006 Cavaliers 4th-2008 Phantom Regiment 5th-2008 Blue Devils 6th-2007 Blue Devils 7th-2000 Cavaliers 8th-2000 Cadets 9th-2004 Cavaliers 10th-2003 Blue Devils 11th-2008 Cavaliers 12-2008 Crown 13th-2001 Cavaliers By score, they would kind of look like this. What about 2006 Phantom? You had Cavaliers 2006 3rd but Phantom wasn't anywhere 4th to 13th. The spread was less than half a point. Just a thought. I don't think I'd have Cavaliers 2006 3rd in the first place, but what do you think?
xXMelloSkiesXx
1. Cadets 2005 and Cavaliers 2002 - this would be very close...but Cadets had a little more attitude then Cavs, and one hell of a brass line...not to mention their show design was much more thought out then Cavaliers. So Cadets 05 squeeze a narrow victory. 2. 2000 Cadets / 2000 Cavaliers - I would still have these tied, there isnt any way I can put one on top of the other....unless I rely on my Cadet loyalty...these shows were an even match for eachother... 3. 2008 Phantom Regiment - a beautifully designed show...excellent telling of the spartacus story... 4. 2006 Cavaliers 5. 2004 Cavaliers 6. 2001 Cavaliers - really bland show... 7. 2003 BD - #### bd for their execution...spin cycle was the real winner this year. 8. 2007 BD - politics suck

If I was, Spin Cycle, Blue Devils 04, and Phantom 06 would be somewhere on there in my book. Heck a lot of 2nd places would place pretty well. I rewatched Phantom 06 from the High cam a few days ago. It was to say the least not as good as I had hoped. I would have them behind 00 Cadets. Spin Cycle for me would be behind Cavaliers 08. I need to rewatch Blue Devils 04 but I feel like it's right up there behind Cavs 04. I feel like Cavaliers 06 should be up there because it was really thought out visually and done in such a manner that it didn't need as much heart to pull off as some of the other top shows. (They were machines, they could be flat and emotionless and it would still pretty much work out in the end) I can't really find much wrong with that show. ZealJ03
2008 was definitely very clean compared to 2007, 2005, 2003
Buick
2000: Cavaliers/Cadets tie 2001: Cavaliers 2002: Cavaliers 2003: Blue Devils 2004: Cavaliers 2005: Cadets 2006: Cavaliers 2007: Blue Devils I would say... 1. Cadets 05 2. Cavaliers 02 3. Cavaliers 06 4. Phantom 08 5. Cadets 00 6. Blue Devils 03 7. Cavaliers 00 8. Blue Devils 07 9. Cavaliers 01 obviously all great shows but I thought Cadets 05 was much cleaner than 02 Cavies, they did win all captions and sub captions in 05. Cavaliers 06 was one of the best written shows, right with Phantom 08, although Cavies executed it cleaner. The rest kinda fall into place pretty well. Phantom 08 is still my favorite show out of all of those, but I am biased
