mikem_nj
I have to add a big "Ditto" to Ray's statement. Just got to change "bari line" to Mello line. Jim is as intense today as he was BITD, if not more so. A HUGE thanks, Jim. Steve - nah Jimmy's never intense! Oh BTW - congrats to you & Ray!! Jeff DeMello
So Jeff ... were you with the SJ Raiders when Dennis "Gunga Din" Aquilina was there? I think he moved out to LA in 80 or 81 ... I had a nice vist with him during the Rodney King incident ... couldn't believe what I was watching on TV that night and said "let me get the heck outta here"!!!:-) I was a brass instructor for the Raiders in '79 and '80. I think Dennis Started in '81. BTW, I taught "Little Gregie Gilman" (Director of Renegades), and "Little Tony Signorelli" (Baritone Section Leader in Renegades, and Blue Devils (way after me!)) ... as well as some other current "old senior corps people'! Fran Haring
I think Dennis Started in '81. Most likely. Dennis worked with us (Sunrisers) in 1980, on our brass staff.... even though, when we mentioned that to him a few years ago, he didn't remember being with Sun that year. Then again, a lot of us in Sun in '80 would like to forget that year. Fran
