Commander71
So back in the "old days" most corps would keep much of their show the same, year after year. They might try a new "off the line" depending on which Broadway show tune won a Tony Award or they might change their exit piece depending on what was popular on the hit parade. Many corps kept the same music for years, tweaking it here and there, What would happen now if the current crop of DCI corps kept the same show for a couple years? Having two years to clean and polish, would they be scoring tremendously high scores? Would the kids stay in a corps that did not have a new program every year? Would you pay to see the same basic show every year? Would it even be any better the second year considering the musicians in todays world class corps? There's nothing in the judges sheets that takes off points for using previous years music (Spartacus, WSS, Appalachin Spring, etc).

Used to be mention of 'creativity' on GE sheets...is that still there? If so, that might have an impact. But even if it's not judged..IMO it's a terrible idea. I didn't like it 'back then' either.
