Besides the fact that we're not on a full panel of judges yet. I expect the rest of July to even out on the scoring and see some corps go static for a couple weeks. 90 is the next big barrier and many corps hover there for a good week. Have they really only gained around 4.5 points in the last, what, 2 weeks? Compared to 12 pt difference with Crown. Wow. At this point, Cavaliers have the lowest rate of daily improvement except for Mandarins and Pacific Crest. However, Cavaliers also posted the second highest score at the beginning of the season AND they experienced one of the biggest drops at the end of the first week. AlexL Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 corps often tend to place where they were at the end of the season last year for the first couple shows. after that, if the judges like you and think you're clearly better, you'll start heading up (blue stars, crown) or if they peg you for lower, you'll stagnate (cavaliers) Just to show how much things can change, look at where blue stars and colts were on this day in 2008. a marching trumpet Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 Well it is interesting, different judges and different corps comepeting each time, but personally I think Crown is dominating the field at the moment, their the highest scoring and they made a pretty quick rise to power since the beginning, of course that could all change like that (snaps fingers). Im still praying for cavies to pull through but it looks like my second favorite may not do to well. but my favorite crown is doin quite well I might add.
