3rd_Star_Brigade
Shout out to my old corps, the Jersey Surf.
mellodcd
The battle for the last finals spots is going to be where all the fun is this year! You've got Troop, Spirit, Colts, Madison, Academy, and maybe Glassmen all in direct competition. I'm looking forward to Windsor, CO on the 10th (Troop, Colts, and Madison all at the same show), and San Antonio on the 18th (everybody)! Horizon
Shout out to my old corps, the Jersey Surf. Great, but I'm not sure they'd be considered "middle guys" just yet.
wesleyrp
I've been a big lover of BK for the past few years, but am a little disappointed in their show design this year. I'll still always root for them. I have since 93 when they tackled Star Trek music, and even MORE since 99 with a show that moved me like no other ever has. Interesting..... I wasn't dissapointed in last year's design, but I felt maybe the '06 and '07 designs were better, with that being said I think this year's is a big step up in design.... I am a homer, but I like that they are moving a ton and this is the most challenging music book and drill I have seen since 2000. I like the way the Shiver theme is coming accross, but like the Blue Stars last year there are still more opportunities to bring out the "winter" theme and sell it in the next few months.... I was pleasantly surprised as they changed up their style a bit with less dancing and more movement/drum corps moments. The opening statement with the cascading/avalanching corps to the hit is way cool, then I also love the spinning snowball at the end of the drum break that begins the closer as well. This is poised to be a great season and good show for them, but that's cool if it is not your cup o tea.... WP BK '97 '
Plan9
Yeah very true.... Hard to get a handle on what's going to happen because many times the strongest corps in these middle groups doesn't translate to the best in the end.... Crown '07, Bluecoats '08 (beat BD at one point) heck even BK '98, we started off in contention for the top 6 but fell to 9th in the end, but we won't talk abou that, ha ha... I think you could have a corps or two sneak into this group from above or below, very possible...WP BK '97 '98 BD only lost twice in 08, once to Cavies at Allentown and then again by PR on finals night! That's it.
Horizon
BD only lost twice in 08, once to Cavies at Allentown and then again by PR on finals night! That's it. He was probably thinking of Centerville in '07. I was at that show. I can also remember thinking BD was significantly better than the coats. AlexL
I think Blue Stars may even be a competitor with Bluecoats... I would agree, and I've seen both live.

BozzlyB
Blue Stars have a very strong program and I think they will lead this middle pack in the end. They could even break the barrier of top 6. Agree.
