NCSU_Crown
Personally I remember San Antonio in a bad way. I hated marching on that indoor new-age astro turf with the rubber crap in it. It was like trying to march on a trampoline...
The Rudy
Despite my praise of the fans at Sevierville, the field was terrible. The show in Oswego, IL also has a bad field. I also wish I could remember what city had a field where it wasn't a whole field. On stage left around the 20 yard line, the back sideline slanted towards the back hash all the way to the goal line. It didn't make it to the hash, but we were taken by surprise.
08ThunderBass5
there was a show site in Whitewater WI last year. It was just an open class show but the site wasn't even worthy of being a rehearsal site. :| Holes EVERYWHERE in the field, when we were entering/exiting the field our staff had to tell us "watch out, hill", "oh there's a whole there", "hey watch out" and such. there was practically no one in the stands. That show SUCKED. The speaker for the announcer was like a megaphone. It was such a horrible show. Lots of unhappy faces in the lot after that show from lots of different corps. whitedawn
camp randall (ducks and runs) seriously... i've never felt more "alone" on a field, not even in giants stadium or the citrus bowl.
eightyonepointthree
(small show stadiums) Lake Highlands Stadium in Dallas. What a piece of crap. If you sit outside the 40s, you can't hear squat!
Jofus
I was so happy when Sevierville got rained out last year.
brassmeaway
camp randall(ducks and runs) seriously... i've never felt more "alone" on a field, not even in giants stadium or the citrus bowl. I'm glad you said it. Didn't live up to the hype for me either. Logistics counts as a part of all these memories (hence the immense hatred of Gillette) and Camp Randall wasn't ideal either--not Gillette bad, though. I'm not sure what Indy's like, but in the rotational time of Finals Invesco field (ca. 2004) is hard to beat for the compete package. rudi man
nailed it on all 3too much hype for the rose bowl ... its a pretty crummy and dirty place considering the high regard people give it Yeah I agree what a dump , you would think that the city of Pasadena or what ever college it is ( pardon my ignorance ) would put some turf down and put some decent railings and seats in that piece of junk and a little of paintwoudn't hurt either !
