The opener basically ties with the whole 2008 show for me xP) Cavaliers 2008 (I honestly did not like the 2008 show. But I like it better than the 2009 show. sorry x\) Carolina Crown 2009 (2007 Crown was freaking awesome. 2008 Crown was epically crazy. 2009 is WTF awesomeness. IMAGINE 2010! XD) Santa Clara Vanguard 2009 (This whole show feels like a big giant crazy crescendo that kills me at the end) Holy Name Cadets 2009 (Why haven't The Cadets performed like this when I first got into drum corps xP) Bluecoats 2008 (this was a hard choice. I really love the 2009 opener and ending jazz section. but 2008 takes the recognition) Phantom Regiment 2008 (Spartacus vs. Red Violin. COME ON! I'm sorry PR D:) Boston Crusaders 2009 (-drools- new favorite upcoming corps) Blue Stars 2009 (I never knew the Blue Stars were able to play that loud) Blue Knights 2008 (2009 show is too dirty to call right now) Glassmen 2009 (seems like a step up from last year IMO) Troopers 2009 (I honestly don't even remember watching troopers from last year.) The Academy 2009 (DARK HORSE-NESS :D) Madison Scouts 2009 (eh the uniforms could be better though) The Mandarins 2008/2009 (both ARE epically awesome.) skewerz Posted July 28, 2009 Share Posted July 28, 2009 Blue Devils- 2009, i guess... ehh...last year certainly didn't do it for me...now I have to weigh the difference between jazz and chairs...toss up. Cavies- bored with both... Liked the look last year...that's about it...they are a tad louder this year...still boring...toss up CC- 2009 barely...Liked the music better last year, but not by much. Marching is harder this year...might give a slight edge to this year...(2007 over both of them) HNC- 2009 in a landslide...No contest..I pretty much detested last years show(and 05-07) A Garfield show I can like again...Yay!! SCV-2009...SCV is another that has been kinda ehhh to me lately...this year, I love their music! (gotta love old school music) Bluecoats-2008...Big fan of Haitian Fight Song, but overall, liked last years music better PR-2008 no contest... BAC-2009 they bringin' it this year... BS-2009, i guess...close to a toss up...this year they seem a little more refined. BK-2009- not a big fan, but I like this year better than last year. Glassmen- toss up...liked both last year and this year, but not on the level as SCV or others... Troopers- another toss up. Mountain climbing is boring. CC - 2008. 2009 is probably technically superior, but this show is far more entertaining. HNC - 2009. Hey, this show doesn't annoy me! SCV - 2008. I really like 2009, but for whatever reason SCV had my 2nd favorite show last year. Bluecoats - 2008. I thought getting away from pop culture would help Bluecoats, but 2009 is not what I meant... PR - 2008. 2009 show is pretty half-#####, which is ironic considering they have half of a violin. BAC - 2009. So far, my favorite show of the year. BS - 2008. Child Labor Laws, the show. No thanks... I liked them last year even though they kicked our butts. BK - 2009. First BK show I've liked in a while. Glassmen - 2009. Although I also marched last year, this show is better, and the corps is better. I've gotten over it. Troopers - 2009. They have the visual package as well this year.
