JohnZ
Amen. you can guarantee there are no flag code violations in Heaven these days. the last time I saw him was at finals last year - he joined me with a number of SCA alumni sitting on the end ramp next to where the corps entered, watching MBI and Bucs coming in, and spent a few moments reminiscing with us about - of course - the 'good old days'. Minutes, but worthy of lifelong memory status. the next thing I heard after that night was when he was hospitalized. too soon. Y'know, the VA hospital system did not know who "Cozy" Baker was. their loss.
Jeff Ream
it will truly be odd to not have Cozy there.
Shenandoah Vibrato
Cozy was certainly an influence in my life. In Nashville, while having lunch together he convinced me to help him with the DCA I&E and the mini-corps for the last few years. He was a spur of the moment kind of guy that you could not say no to. Last year he convinced Ziggy to play my single valve horn for the audience at I&E and had me get infront of the microphone and announce "Les Diplomat" participants in French. Nobody could refuse him.
