euphononium
I'd probably get a pretty big ego too if I got to run the Cadets hornline everyday an ego and some sort of brain damage from that sound.

BOSMarcher
IMO -Gino is one of the most talented brass people in the country however can be a control freak and has a huge ego. With that being said, George keeps him in check with the Cadets, Ruocco does the same at Bucs and he has had great success. JVN ... eh, he's a trumpet player
3rd&10
I saw the Surf a few times this past season and brass performance was a major flaw. If Mr Cipriano can establish a solid World Class technique program and coordinate the caption head / techs he will be instrumental in Surf's continued development. Good pick up Surf. thattrumpetplayerguy
well, as the release says, he is the director of brass education, so it seems he may be more like a consultant or co-caption head. i wonder if wilkie stayed on. if he didnt, who takes over for gino's not being there. questions, questions... Wilkie did not complete the season with Surf last year, he was gone before the "second tour," so it is unlikely he will be back on board. Interesting to see if there will be a more full time Caption Head that works under Gino or if he will be the man, so to speak. There could be a system that works like the Surf percussion section, where Rich Hammond filled the role of "Head of Percussion Education" last year.
