MGCpimpOtimp
Smart as in, "Chill in the shade all day, get to wear sandals, and drive four wheelers all summer."
a marching trumpet
Just a burning question, I guess. I mean, they're on the sidelines, not necessarily a pit. Well you see, In the beginning the world was created in 1972 where god created the drumline and the brassline. They were allowed to play anything they wished and everythin was good. Then withen a few months the directors of these corps fell into the devils temptation. when they fell into temptation they were told of many intruments that would win the favor of millions, thus being tricked by this all out lie, the devil disguised as a peruvian music salesman talked these men into buying such things as marimbas and all sorts of things that required mallets. Thus the directors had instruments that came from the fiery pits of hell itself. Thus the word Pit. But, "the trumpets will sound..." Sort of like an orchestra pit at a Broad Way show. yeah I agree. thats why. my stupid story is posted above.

drumcorpsfan4567
If you're a judge, that would explain a lot about drum corps these days. Quoted for Truth.
