BlooContraGuy
Crossmen*Just wondering lol I would check their website for audition materials. Thats most likely going to be your best bet for an accurate answer.
Lawlz
I would check their website for audition materials. Thats most likely going to be your best bet for an accurate answer. I did but they make you pay close to $200 (for registration) before you can even see it, and I don't want to spend that money to see that I don't even have a chance :/
BlooContraGuy
...woah! then I really dont know what to tell you, besides probably nothing harder than some "standard" etude books for your instrument (assuming you play brass)
micfiygd
Crossmen ask for a lyrical etude and a melodic etude. Its not about difficulty but about making yourself sound the best. Then there is lip slurs and some other pretty standards warm up techniques.
soccerguy315
it's probably something out of the arbans or clarke (sp?) books, or of equivalent difficulty. They will probably also test your range, if you are interested in a lead spot.
xbones7480
Facebook has a Crossmen 2010 Audition Group. Maybe you can get your answer from some of the vets.
GGarrett
It's tough. You might have to actually practice and junk like that to maybe make it. Good luck.
noneofyourbusiness
It's tough. You might have to actually practice and junk like that to maybe make it.Good luck. I heard it's all grade 5 & 6 level stuff. Even some 32nd notes.
GGarrett
I heard it's all grade 5 & 6 level stuff. Even some 32nd notes. Well, I didn't mean it like THAT... LOL I meant more like: "COUNT on having to practice the audition music if you plan on making it. And if you're concerned, then bust out the basic workbooks you have NOW and get to really "practicing" all the stuff you blew off when you were supposed to be practicing it... because we all know we all did blow it off when we should have been taking it slowly and working it all out because it was boring to do that.
