VKSEC
Was it expensive for the rights to the Beatles material? well.....with Ringo being center snare "back in the day" it makes it easier
3rd&10
That wasnt an answer, it was a wise ### remark. All I was asking was if VK has obtained the rights to arrange & perform and granted synch rights. It was a major issue for Kiwanis Kavaliers a few years back. well.....with Ringo being center snare "back in the day" it makes it easier
MelloHorn13
RACINE SCOUTS UPDATED SHOW TITLE AND REP. America’s oldest junior drum and bugle corps, the Racine Scouts, are pleased to present Fascinating Rhythms- The Music of George Gershwin. Undoubtedly one of the most prolific composers of the 20th century, George Gershwin was aware that what he created was significant. Contemporaries were deeply envious of him, wishing that they too had that magic spark that endowed his compositions with passion and verve. Gershwin did it all and he did it with ease; opera, musicals, concertos, major symphonic works, and beautiful ballads, many of which have withstood the test of time. His ‘avant garde’ approach to composition was intriguing , combining syncopated rhythms with jazz harmonies, thus creating music that concertgoers and theater enthusiasts alike couldn’t seem to get enough of. His music continues to be interpreted and reinterpreted in every imaginable genre by a wide variety of artists. Selections include: An American in Paris Strike Up the Band Porgy and Bess: Summertime I Loves You, Porgy Bess, You is My Woman Now Rhapsody in Blue I Got Rhythm

And with all due respect, all you "were asking" was not if VK has obtained rights....it looks like all you seemed to asked was if it was expensive to obtain the rights. Was it expensive for the rights to the Beatles material? It does come implied. Good Luck VK! 2Cool!!
3rd&10
The Velvet Knights from 1982-1996 were a corps that employed humor. I saw them perform many times. They were also a pretty decent World Class corps when it came to marching and playing. This group is not there, they have a long way to go to be a respectable Div 3 corps. When I asked the question my intent was obvious and the director was flippant and disrespectful. Ouch, someone has never heard of The Velvet Knights?
