byline
the only thing bad about the dvd's is that the high cam camera angle is way too low. You can't see everything that great I noticed that! I was a bit surprised about that, but then, I wasn't there at finals and so don't know how high the stadium's upper deck goes. But the "high cam" shots looked lower than in years past, and as you say, it seems to obscure some things. I wonder if that is part of what is affecting my perception of BD's show? byline
Hmmmm, I was at finals last year and from what I could see, BD was absolutely perfect. Crown was good, but not as crisp as BD (sans the horns). OK, I can buy that. Anyone else? I guess the question I have is, should what I perceive to be greater visual demand from Crown (even if not executed as well as BD) trump BD's execution, with all other things being equal? Oh, I know; old argument!

DCIfan90
How long does it normally take to get the DVD's after ordering? My order was processed on the 22, so it should be coming any day now, right?
chaddyt
I think my seats for finals were about 15 sections higher than the "high-cam" angle. With regard to a review.... they're good. I'm not blown away by them. For me, part of the appeal of the format is the "extras" you get with it. Trimming down the audio commentary tracks while keeping the price the same is still a sore topic for me. With regard to BD vs. Crown... While BD's show underwhelmed me, it was #### clean. While Crown excited and entertained me, they did not perform at the level of the Devils. One can argue which is more important and different things entertain different people, but the bottom line is the judges saw it one way, and in convincing fashion. '09 is in the books and it's time to start getting pumped/talking trash for '10.

Profanation 984085
Yeah, and anyone can tell just by looking at the "75" on the field. Are you aware of any explanation that has been given for the lower placement of the 'high' camera?
byline
I think my seats for finals were about 15 sections higher than the "high-cam" angle. Strange. I wonder why? Thanks, also, for your comparison of BD and Crown. My initial feeling was exactly that; it was only after watching the DVD from both mixed and high(er)-cam angles that I started to have some questions. But I'm starting to think that if the high-cam angles were from the highest possible level, I probably wouldn't have those questions. Some of BD's tight forms look a bit cluttered from the vantage point at which they're shown. I doubt that would be the case if we could really see over them . . . if that makes any sense.
