JonW
The new Oostburg Barnstormers have been registered and are eager to perform! They ain't much to look at, nor do they move around all too well, but these guys are ready to wail (two-thirds of the members are over 50 years old!). With their high-flying hornline and pulse-pounding percussion, this group is sure to make many dance in the aisles! Or could it be the whiskey fumes rolling off these blue-jean and bomber jacket clad Barnstormers? They don't have a title for their show and according to lead sop Kurt Zwick, "Aw man, we jus' out to play. Make the audience look like they's pullin' G's, ya know? hehe! Blister their hides. Hey, yer lookin' a bit pale. Take a shot o' this". Currently the program is listed as follows, but members have said they may throw in a barrel-roll or two before the night's over. -- Intro/Sweet Jane (Lou Reed Live); Get It On (Chase); Bang the Gong [drum solo] (T Rex); Call Me the Breeze (JJCale/Skynyrd). I've no clue how it's going to work, but it is sure to be entertaining. "Flyin' man, jus' flyin' ", says Kurt. edit: typo... gcurrier
I did not realize there were no DCA shows this weekend...so scores from CLASS Championships would not change--so the show for this week was a exhibition only performance... Tyler C.
The Torchmen are willing to jump back in the mix, if you'll have them. There's still a month left. They did pretty well their last time out, 4th place and High Drums.

Tyler C.
The Torchmen are back! I've put them on alert to head to Toledo. They'd been farting around with some old corps charts, and now they've put them together, thrown some rather simple drill out there, and are calling it "The Last Step." The music will be four famous closers. Selections will include "Ostinato (from Mikrokosmos)/Canon in D" (Phantom '03), "When a Man Loves a Woman" (BD '92), "Medea" (Star '93), and "Malaguena" (Madison '96). It's a programming disaster, but our alumni are gonna play the heck out of it.
