In the Internet age of instant gratification, where everything is supposed to happen in ever-quicker fashion, it might be worth remembering that not that many years ago, we would have found out about an instructor leaving through word of mouth and Ed Trauter's "Type Lice" column in Drum Corps World a few weeks later. And by then, the corps management would have had a chance to get together and discuss candidates before picking one, allowing the name to eventually filter out and become phone banter in the same conversation as, "So, how was your Thanksgiving?"
