lastknight
My son is breaking from school and working so he can march. It's the right decision for him. College will still be there and he will be more experienced and mature before he starts back to college.
Arrowmarcher
I aged out last year. On some days this summer I wished I could be there on the field, on most days it was pretty obvious that my three years were enough. Life moves on. It's ok to become a proud alumni and fan of the activity.
hammondbrass
It's a stretch now considering one is a legal adult in the U.S. at the age of 18. Pushing the age limit might very well give cause for those offering funding, grants, etc. to the activity to reconsider, inasmuch would they give to organizations of mostly young adults...or to Boy's and Girl's Clubs, etc, etc. If you're talking about music groups, 25 and under is still very much considered young or pre-professional. Comparisons would be between many summer music festivals like Tanglewood, Aspen, Music Academy of the West, Interlochen, etc. I could go on and on. Many don't even have an age limit. mhall1183
Here's a novel idea: Let 22-23 year olds march, as long as it's their one and only season in DCI.
