IntheMood
Very Good News Indeed. I know some will disagree but I think until we get more Corps into the OC Div.there should only be a top 10 not 12. Dean
MelloHorn13
Too bad there isn't a finals opportunity for Open Class
MelloHorn13
Seems there is a prelims and finals... all in Michigan City. So, now my question... Does Open class get to perform in Luas Oil Stadium? I wouldn't be totally against it because Ames Field is PERFECT for smaller corps. But it's such a good end to the season for the smaller corps. MelloHorn13
Just answered my question again, Open class will still compete in World Class quarterfinals. Can't wait to finally observe the activity from a spectators view after ten years. Pretty exciting.

tanokiman1
I'm pretty happy to see that 4 international corps will be attending Open Class Prelims, including two from other continents (Les Stentors, Blue Saints, Jubal, and The Yokohama Scouts)

I know a lot of people have been asking for that kind of World/Open show (sort of like prelims were back in the day) for a long time. Looks to me like a win all the way around. INSIDETHEFORTY
Now the question is: Do any of the Open Class corps that compete in Thursday's World Class prelims have a realistic chance to advance to the 25-corps World Class semi-finals? If so, which corps will they be? Based on previous and recent success, I would say that the Oregon Crusaders, Spartans, Revolution, SCV Cadets, and the Blue Devils "B" corps have an excellent chance of making it into semi-finals. Since 25 corps are set to advance, I am sure that there will be a few more Open Class corps in the semi-finals. Does anyone have any other corps names to add to that list?
