According to the 2011 repertoire list on CorpsReps.com, there are 42 drum corps in competition in North America in two divisions. How many will be competing in 2020? Northern Thunder Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 Since I'm the one who has done the yearly junior corps census, I think it would be naive to think that there would be MORE corps in 2020 than there are now. In order for there to be more corps in 2020 than there are now, we would have to see unprecedented growth in the creation of new corps. Does anybody really believe that will happen? But, Brian, when they served us the any-key Kool-Aid, they told us that it would lead to corps forming all over the country because kids could bring their own horns and drastically cut down on the expenses of starting and operating new corps.
