Dublin Debauchery - 7/30

Some good moments from Blue Knights tonight. Not their best performance but still engaged the crowd. I enjoyed it.

BK gets another vote, most unique show of the evening. Not AS many circles as I was promised, more straight lines and boxes to me, but they followed circle patterns. Drumline did pretty well as far as I can tell. Hornlines biggest problems are timing and letting feet into the sound once the drill picks up intensity, but another solid program from them. I already like it better than Avian.

Do you hear the people sing?

Maybe we can replace "more cowbell" with "MORE TAMBOURINE!"

It's the fever of the 21st century.

There's no angry men here, move along.

Our final corps of the night is the Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, California. Their 2013 program is entitled "Les Miserables" and consists of:

Music from Les Miserables by Boublil, Alain; Schonberg, Claude-Michel

Battery says 9 minutes left. I just dropped the screen brightness as low as it goes to extend that to 11 1/2.

Vanguard time. Time to scare the folks around me with a well placed vanguard yell

Oh, SCV, I have been waiting for this moment since I first saw you on the DCI West webcast. Such a wonderful sound!

I literally heard the horns snap up in the trumpets before they played in On My Own.

TUBAS!!!!!!!!

There's a toddler that is bouncing to the beat, she's so excited by the corps.

Then again, so am I!
