kevingamin
Uh oh, they played the rumps. I'm sure the Cabs don't mind. :D
Kamarag
That's probably my favorite Govies show in years. I really like their take on the Spanish-style classics. Really fun and well-performed.
kenweaver
The gun really takes me back to the old days of 2004. :-) Edited August 31, 2014 by kenweaver
kevingamin
There's the starting gun! Next on the field is the White Sabers from Dansville, New York. Their 2014 program is entitled "Arabian Nights" and consists of: Arabian Dances The Story of the Kalendar Prince from (Scheherazade) Misirlou The Young Prince and the Young Princess (from Scheherazade) Nights in White Satin The Festival at Baghdad (from Scheherazade)

Bill_VA
It is too bad that White Sabers couldn't borrow those stacked pillows that SCV used this season.
JoeDz
Charlie Groh made a great observation that Govies have voiced their brass perfectly for their size: four trumpets, two mellos, three baritones, and two tubas. The balance and blend throughout the horn line is excellent. Every member of that corps seems perfectly matched for the corps ! They show what can be done with proper planning. My fav Govs show in years....

Kamarag
The gun really takes me back to the old days of 2005. :-) Which is interesting, because 2004 was the last year for the starting pistol :)
kevingamin
Love these guard uniforms. Brightly colored and fitting the theme. Excellent horn sound on the opening! Side to side with the Scheherezade melody by the baritones and trumpets. Great job with the timing and playing in tune.
