The field has expanded to eighteen. Notice that after ten days, the early-season scores by BDB and SCVC still hold the top two spots. Two corps from the northeast, 7th Regiment and Spartans, and one from the northwest, Columbians, receive scores to put them solidly in the company of Genesis and Legends. Thunder returns to the competitive field after a dark year. Edited July 8, 2015 by N.E. Brigand

BDB and SCVC reappear just in time to stay ahead of the pack: 7th Regiment jumps more than three points to score just a half-point behind where Vanguard Cadets had been. Incognito posts an even larger gain, apparently having used their week off very wisely: they're now just two points back of their best score from 2014. And Raiders make their debut. It's hard to believe, but two Open Class corps have now finished their 2015 season (with eight other corps yet to debut). If O.C. Finals were held today, both of them, Eruption and Columbians, would have qualified. Columbians ends very impressively, tied for third with 7th Regiment. Edited July 8, 2015 by N.E. DrumManTx
I'm incredibly impressed this year with Open Class, 7th Regiment, Legends, BDB, and SCVC have all blown me away. Those 4 stick out to me, great shows. Genesis as well. Gonna be a great season of drum corps. Very excited to see where the Louisiana Stars open up. Eleran
Two corps from the northeast, 7th Regiment and Spartans, and one from the northwest, Columbians, receive scores to put them solidly in the company of Genesis and Legends. You reversed the two scores for Spartans and 7th on July 2. (not that I want to sound unappreciative of your hard work, mind you - excellent work) Edited July 7, 2015 by Eleran

N.E. Brigand
Ranked by latest score, with no weighting. Keep in mind all the usual caveats about the dangers of comparing scores from different shows. As of July 7: 1. 61.900 Blue Devils B (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+2.000 6/22] 2. 61.100 Vanguard Cadets (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+2.400 6/22] 3. 60.200 Legends (7/7 Wausau, WI) [+3.150 7/5] 4. 58.200 7th Regiment (7/5 Clifton, NJ) [+3.400 7/3] 4. 58.200 Columbians (7/6 Tri-Cities, WA) [+2.000 7/3] Season Complete (at 3rd). 6. 56.900 Music City (7/7 Wausau, WI) [+1.450 7/5] 7. 56.800 Spartans (7/5 Clifton, NJ) [+0.800 7/3] 8. 56.550 Genesis (7/5 Whitewater, WI) [+0.650 7/3] 9. 52.200 Golden Empire (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [-0.600 6/29] 10. 50.750 Colt Cadets (7/7 Dubuque, IA) [+2.150 7/5] 11. 50.600 Gold (6/28 Riverside, CA) [+0.800 6/27] 12. 47.400 Impulse (7/7 Boise, ID) [+1.600 7/6] 13. 46.900 Eruption (7/6 Tri-Cities, WA) [+1.300 7/3] Season Complete (at 12th). 14. 44.550 Watchmen (6/28 Riverside, CA) [+0.150 6/27] 15. 43.900 Raiders (7/5 Clifton, NJ) [first show] 16. 43.600 Incognito (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [+7.500 6/28] 17. 43.400 Thunder (7/7 Boise, ID) [+0.000 7/6] 18. 43.000 River City Rhythm (6/28 Rochester, MN) [first show] 19. 40.300 Blue Saints (7/7 Wausau, WI) [first show] 20. 38.100 Blue Devils C (7/5 Sacramento, CA) [-0.750 6/21] 21. 36.500 Racine Scouts (7/7 Dubuque, IA) [+0.500 7/5] Next shows: Ft. How will Louisiana Stars fit in tomorrow?
ThatCorpsGuy
A fifth corps in the mix, Racine, debuts with a shockingly low score. Unfortunately, their shockingly low score was even more shockingly high, given that they barely made the 30-member threshold needed to participate, have only four horns, and have a show design that's crafted for a significantly larger group, and that's not even close to being achieved. I don't know what happened after the past two seasons, when it looked like they were on the rise; but this year's Racine corps has tumbled.
