Jeffe77
Thanks for the infor. No internet way back in those years so information was hard to come by. I've always wondered why the drum line was so weak compared to 1990. Plus the rare turmoil with in the BD organization. Interesting because in the long run it worked out. Scott Johnson was brought back in 1994. Keep in mind he was the long time snare tech for BD through out the 80's, leaves for SCV 90-93, ironically gets a drum trophy with them 1991. Back on point, he was brought in 1994 along with Todd Ryan and the rest is history. At the time back in the winter of 90/91, it may have been unimaginable what went down, but it all worked out. I can only imagine if DCP was around then or that situation with a contending Corps happening today with the Cap Head leaving all of sudden during the first camp and almost the whole drumline walking out. Especially with social media etc.
Tad_MMA
Really. It's 4th officially. Where does it say 4th and 5th? That terrible announcer (1986-1987) announced the 1987 Star/VK 7th place tie as "a tie for 6th and 7th." He then (correctly) announced Madison in 6th. Ha. Tad_MMA
And in 1990, B. Crocker did say, "In 5th place, we have a tie..."
