typea1
I was in Drum Corp. one year, 1979, Golden Knights, Southgate, KY Question: I've seen trombones, violins, and other non- traditional instruments on the field. Per rule, are these things permitted only as a supplemental item, or could you, for instance, form a permanent trombone section in a drum corp. Thanks, Steve Tolson Ft Thomas, KY
Cappybara
I think academy or mandarins have already done a show-long trombone line. I’m not sure whether the rules are on a case by case basis. For example, could a corps have a full violin line?

Violins, woodwinds, concertinas, et al I think are still pit only instruments. I think.
