RING QUESTION

Recommended Posts

An old friend of mine, Jim Good, drum major for 71 Lynwood Diplomats and 72 Anaheim Kingsmen, finally checked in after 30 years.

I had said something like "Well, at least you got the championship ring." His response was "What ring? I never got one!"

As a member of the first DCI championship corps, shouldn't he be entitled to one? And if so...how does he get his?

BTW: Jim has consented, under threat of exposing all his dirty secrets from The Lynwood Diplomat days.....well, not true, his wife of 22 years marched Dips color guard, so she KNOWS! most of them....anyway, Jim has just been named drum major of the FRESNO FERNS, and we are lucky to have a person of his talent and esprit de corps back in the fold.

yea at reatreat in 87 Scott Johnson Dropped his 79 ring on the ground and myself and another guy helped him find it. He then told me that was the first year they made them.

(That would've sucked if he lost it)!

You can get them made for earlier years. The BD Alumni have gotten them for 1976 and 1977. Contact me if you want more info on how to get rings made.
