skymello2
***Update 10/12/04 Excelsior Brass Polishing Session Held Jay McBride had the Honor of Running the First Brass Rehearsal of The Excelsior Drum and Bugle Corps with Paul Christopher this past Monday Night. We had a total of 18 Brass Players in attendance. We worked on some exercises and started The Warm Up Piece "Softly As I Leave You". We also started the first few bars of "The Shadow of Your Smile". This was not a full corps rehearsal , but more of a start up session to break the ice and get to know each other a little bit. We were very impressed with the people in the line on both a talent level and an interest level. This is the beginning of a GREAT Line with a GREAT bunch of people in it. Jay, Paul and the entire Corps would like to thank each person who gave up there Monday Night to be a part of the birth of The Excelsior Brass Section. If we had Cigars we would have passed them out. Hope to see you ALL at The Party and at The Open House and First Rehearsal. Please Join us at our Kickoff Party on 10/23/04 at the Cohoes K. of C. See our website at www.excelsiordrumcorps.org for kickoff details and corps info. Thanks Edited October 12, 2004 by skymello2
