ffffingloud
How did the Blue Devils and the Cavaliers soloists do during Finals? I saw quarterfinals and both the Devils soloist and the Cavaliers had some minor (mostly insignificant) issues. Not that they fracked or anything-- but maybe not as perfect as their performances were on the ADPs throughout the year. My hope is that all the solos were spot-on and that the recordings will be killer. Because I love the Devils soloist with those incredible double b-flats and I really liked the Cavaliers solos in the Welcome to Cuba number. Any comments anyone? SurfSop04
As for the actual finals performance itself, I was very impressed. I got to see both semis and finals and I am pretty sure that BD's soloists had nearly perfect shows both nights. AS for the Cavies, I honestly don't remember the show. All I can say is that the solo in the encore performance was right on (with a little added flavor by the screamer.)

madalumni
As far as I could tell, everyone nailed their parts. Especially Scott Dean (?) from the Blue Devils. That guy is now a permanent member of the Soprano legends of DCI along with the likes of Bonnie Ott, Chris Metzger, Shawn Owens, Jon Schipper, etc. Anyone feel free to jump in with the ones I'm obviously missing.
