Rambler - I tried looking for some St. Catherine's Queensmen pics but came up empty - but discovered that this was the corps that Billy Cobham was in way back! ffernbus3 Posted October 22, 2005 Share Posted October 22, 2005 Saw Billy Cobham Band as the opening act for Taj Mahal back in Saint Paul in the mid-70s. I remember that Glen Ferris, from Don Ellis' Band, was playing t-bone with Cobham. Strange coupling of musical acts: fusion and Caribbean. Billy's band blew your head off and Mahal's kind of put it back on and patted it into place. Forgot to note Billy Cobham's grip.......was trying to get one myself.
