During the Olympics, I saw a whole bunch of figure skating "costumes" that reminded me of what guard uniforms have turned into. Thankfully, there were still a few tasteful ones, but some of them were just awful. And I know they spent big money for that kind of ugleee! Case in point; great skating program, bizarre costumes by the French pair who ended up fourth (though the glove/mask idea was kinda neat . . . but I can just see some guard trying that now).
