Blue Devil's show is easily the most difficult on the field. And it is one of their most innovatively designed shows.

Everyone needs to get over the narration. Everyone else's narration is much worse. e.g. Taco Bell.

Apparently you didn't see the poll that showed that the overwhelming majory of the viewing public found BD's narration the most annoying. Easily the most difficult? I wonder what show you were watching. BD's drill is hardly the most difficult on the field. In fact, I don't find it any more difficult than another flawed visual program coming out of California.

Is whatever the heck they were supposedly playing exposed? Sure. Is it difficult? That's all a matter of opinion. Since there is little actual playing sustained music, melodies, harmonies, etc. - just lots blasts or notes here and there followed by power chords, squeeling trumpets and more chords - it's hard to say it's "clearly" the most difficult show on the field. And the guard does not do work for over a 1/3 of the show - milling around, dramatics, running around. Let's see a show with some work, and then perhaps we can say whether they "clearly" have the most difficult show on the field.

They are running all over the field constantly. Exposed = difficult. They play plenty of long melodies. And they do play chords and long sustained notes(since when was that hard) WHILE running all over the field.

FYI Most corps' guards don't do work for a decent portion of their show.

Hardly running all over the filed constantly - sorry. And running around a giant oval and in follow the leader mode is not that difficult. There are few if any melodies, but plenty of power chords after a few notes here and there. Playing long sustained notes is not hard - kinda my point. The demand in BD's show is no where near that of the other top 6 corps. And since achievement is such a major part of the sheets now (which contemplates difficulty), BD should not coming close Bluecoats, Madison, Phantom, Cavies, or Cadets.

There is no way we are watching the same show here.

We are talking about the 2005 Blue Devils "Dance Derby of the Century", right? The one that the fans in the stands sat there giving golf claps to. The show that poster after poster is saying the same thing about? That show, right?
