DCP-er
In Cadets 1987, what does the soloist play at the end? Is it the same melody or what? The crowd is to loud to hear what he is playing. Thanks!
84BDsop
I saw the show at Rome, NY and heard it...he pretty much restates the main theme. Think of the very opening of the show...the last couple of bars before teh first loud hit....that's pretty much what he had..although, he could've just faked it and no diff at finals! Hrothgar15
Is it just me, or does the whole thing with the pit lining up facing the field to watch the end of the show bring a tear to your eye?

byline
I was surprised they didn't find a way to restore that to the "Legacy" DVDs. You can hear it quite clearly on the semi-finals tape. Anyway, it's three notes descending, as Sam says, restating the music's theme.
George82
It was the musical equivalent of the ending phrase: "It will be in the valley of love and delight"
tommytimp
what do you mean,,,, like did they turn around and watch or soemthing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The pitheads would finish their show, then turn to the field and kneel to watch the "curtain call." It was a nice effect, but at encore shows, they had to march to the backfield double time to get off with the rest of the corps!
