Bass_Chick
The 2006 edition of the Kingston Grenadiers are pleased to announce their musical selection for the upcoming season. The show is based around the compositions of recording artist, musical director, television and radio show host: JOHN TESH. Tesh is recognized world-wide as a leader in the entertainment business, and as a commitment to his passion, he surprised many by leaving the highly visible position as co-host of “Entertainment Tonight” to pursue his career as a full-time musician. With three gold albums, and a career that has earned him 6 Emmy awards, 2 Grammy nominations, and a host of awards in both the music business and journalism, it seemed like a great fit for the Grenadiers to pursue the versatility that is offered in his repertoire. The 2006 show will contain some of John’s most dynamic music, utilizing the passion-filled and energizing moments of songs like “Barcelona” and “Spanish Steps”, while weaving in and out of soft, lush musical moments from some of his most emotion-driven compositions. The Grenadiers invite you to come along for an exciting musical journey, as they pay tribute to the Los Angeles based award winning composer: John Tesh. The 2006 show will be arranged by Paul McGarr (Brass), Scott Atkins (Battery & Percussion), and Dave Simpson (Front Ensemble), and the visual design will be penned by returning Grenadiers designer from 1998-99: Gareth Skipp. The Grenadiers would also like to announce the newest addition to the Brass Education Team for the upcoming camp: Troy Thrower. The second audition /open-house camp is coming up on December 17th / 18th in Napanee, Ontario.
