Drum Corps University ?

Recommended Posts

Assuming money is not an issue, how and where would you put together a 4-year course of study that only encompasses Drum Corps? Let's see a full, detailed cirriculum, and name any and all instructors / professors for each class.

I would locate the campus in Madison, Wisc.- the heart of the drum corps world.

Brass Arranging 101- Prof. Ken Norman

Brass Arranging 201- Prof. Wayne Downey

Drill Design (Advanced)- Prof. George Zengali

History of Drum Corps- Col. Truman Crawford

Drum Corps Photography- Mr. Moe Knox

etc, etc.

Let's open this up wide, and have fun with it. The limit is your imagination! B)

Add Jim Ott to the brass faculty. Fred Sanford, Tom Float, and Tom Aungst (sp?) for the battery. Catherine Float for pit. Add Steve Brubaker to the vizh list. Scott Chandler for guard (any guard folk wanna add to this??? I don't know the significant guard designers aside from Chandler)

Also add "Getting the most out of a small corps" taught by Pepe Nataro, finances with Bill Cook and Jim Mason, and showmanship with Bobby Hoffman and Vince Bruni.

Wow....lotta dead guys here!
