They have 1,000,000 lines to clean and a horn line to balance, but holy schnikes if they do!!!! Then again, you could say that about most corps. Yes, Nick Williams is a really smart guy. He is good friends with my old university band director and went to do a two day clinic with our university band my last year there. He helped us out quite a bit musically (he arranged the music we played that year, btw). And yes, SCV sounds pretty nice. Can't wait to hear the final product. mello916 Posted June 19, 2006 Share Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) I caught a few minutes of the horn line doing pre-show warm ups in Modesto, and I really like this year's line. There's some nice depth and quality of sound to SCV, though personally I'd like just a little more "oomph" in the bass. But overall I thought this line had some gorgeous moments, and yes, they can get loud. It'll get even better when the show's more under control and they can dig in emotionally. Go SCV!
