Probably beating the horse here, but holy horn line. First show was in DeKalb. Blue Devils were good, really liked the show and solid brass per usual. Crown came on, sounded really fantastic. Loved the show, loved the horn book, loved the power. Then, out of nowhere, came The Cadets. Beautifully written horn book (especially the ballad), and stupid, stupid loud. They flat out have the best book and I seriously am digging the mellophones and baritones. Don't remember the last time I heard a Cadets hornline like this... 2007? 2005? Bueller?

I wouldn't place bets on Cavies or Crown passing any corps but each other this week.

Cadets 90 threw a soprano in the air if I remember correctly. Does anyone have pictures from last night? What were the new tarps along the front end?

Cadets have been winning GE or very close to the top all year, well before Cavaliers implemented changes.

If Cadets have the GE caption down, and they're still very competitive everywhere else at this point, I think it's Cadets' title to win. New guard uniforms and 'darker' ending with demons winning, on top of their scores now, will only help them in my opinion.

Pink should be gone by Atlanta, and the ending is looking like it will be much darker on the whole according the podcast from this Wednesday.

The top three are within .50 of each other this late in the season. This is AWESOME for fans and corps alike. How often are corps so closely grouped??

Cadets on last could also mean Cadets in first.

I have a feeling we're gonna see more than one placement change from last night. Hope Cadets nail it going on last!

Cadets went 5th to 1st 1989-1990, 4th to first 2004-2005. I'm confused by that rationale.

The piece in general is gorgeous, especially the first few minutes of singing in contrast to the very intense next few minutes. As long as the singing was subtle and limited like it is in the original, I'd be fine with it.

Awe-inspiring. I don't think I've seen a more professionally done or more accurate summary of the drum corps experience. Bravo Cadets. Side note: Does anyone think this actually influences kids to go to The Cadets? I have a feeling it could sway...

I think Cadets need to go dark(er), a nod to 2005, 1998, 1993, etc.

I respect what BD is doing; they're #### good. I just want the other corps, who are #### good (though not as well-rounded), to get the same respect from the judges. Two points between Cavies and Cadets, and Cavies and Crown? Give me a break.

Recaps are up: I don't even know why I bother questioning scores anymore, especially during finals week... but how the heck does the Cadets hornline go from placing 1st and 2nd all season to 5th? I mean, seriously.
