Musicman1084
Before everyone totally rips apart this topic I'd like to explain it a little. A "bye-week" is a week of no games (competitions)....like in football. The point I was trying to make was the fact that I think one or two days of rehearsal is very beneficial. You can add things and change your show a little bit and then go out and see what the fans and judges think of your changes. By taking an entire week off you're risking making changes that may not go over to well with the fans, and this close to finals that's a big risk. Many of you may not agree with this and that's your right...i'm just stating my thoughts. Oh, I think we all understand what a "bye-week" is, it's just that "Bi-Week" sounds so much better! :-P
DCImaniac
If I remember correctly, The Blue Devils had some contests scheduled for this week. Did they just drop out of them? I may be mistaken but I don't think I am.
danieltenor
In this pre-season with my corps I learned that marching shows for crowds actually makes you a lot better, gives you confidence in performing the particular show you have. A show every two days from now until Madison will give a corps time to rehearse (especially when they don't travel too long every day) and it will also give the members confidence to grow in their product with the changes because they perform and get boost out of the crowd to rehearse bad-### hard for Madison. Even if we didn't have rehearsal but two shows in a row, after those two shows we had a corps which was way better then before those two, so I think performing makes better and gives energy to rehearse very VERY hard.
